For over eight years our expert beekeepers have managed healthy, happy bee colonies, providing local, ethically sourced, and high-quality bee products and services to the community to minimise impact and maintain the safety of our local area. Our very first colonies started on our property in Tudor Valley Road, Reidsdale, for which we get our namesake and soon after we relocated back to our family roots in the Hawkesbury Valley. While our love for bees started as merely a curiosity and hobby, it has evolved into a passion for managing strong, healthy bee colonies and providing pure, natural products to the Hawkesbury. The majority of our bees are a non-native species of European Honey Bees, Apis Mellifera, which are a favourite among beekeepers for their unique honey production and pollination activities. Our queens are sourced only from reputable Australian breeders with high quality genetics for greater resistance to pests and diseases, and who have a calm temperament. We also have a Tetragonula Carbonaria (TC) bee hive, a small stingless native species that we adore. At Tudor Valley Apiaries we are committed to practices that prioritise bee health and biosecurity for the protection of the environment. Only excess honey stores are extracted to ensure our bees have sufficient supplies to overcome periods of cooler weather, drought and flooding rains. We pride ourselves on being a sustainable, ethical company and using only 100% natural Australian wax, while reusing many of our own products to minimise waste. As well as our extensive range of high-quality bee products, we love mentoring others looking to start their own hive or learn more about these amazing creatures.
